The Boston Art book fair was started in 2017 by the Boston Center for the Arts (BCA) and Bodega. Since then, it has become one of the largest Art Book Fairs on the East Coast. The event typically features over 130 exhibitors, artists and publishers. Presented every fall, the fair invites audiences of all ages to engage in an art-filled weekend to expand their ideas about print.

As a participant in the inaugural fair, PROPS was asked to design the identity and environmental graphics for the second fair. The identity was anchored around the “page turn” motif that alludes to the frenetic energy of communing and exchange that happens at the fair.

The “page turn” design appeared on the official poster, mass transit posters on the subway, digital and physical banners, postcards and on limited edition screen-printed posters and tote bags by Trifecta Editions.

The identity design for the Boston Art Book Fair was featured in the Boston Art Review.
